AN IMPORTANT POINT BEFORE CHOOSING YOUR TIME
The metabolic test requires that you fast at least 4-5 hours before the appointment. For this reason, the best time to book an appointment is early in the morning - you’d fast overnight and skip breakfast prior to the visit. If morning appointments don’t work for you, the afternoon is doable - a light meal followed by a 4-5 hour fast is sufficient. Please refrain from caffeine, stimulant medications and exercise before the visit, but water is allowed. If you are on thyroid medication, please take it as usual. Also, feel free to bring food (and something with caffeine!) for after the test.
